Fiorentina shock Estudiantes

Mario Gomez gave Fiorentina a victory over Estudiantes in their South American tour.

The Viola began their experience in Argentina and Gomez broke the deadlock after 29 minutes, running on to a Bernardeschi through ball.

Goalkeeper Tatarusanu made several mistakes and was rescued by a Gonzalo Rodriguez goalline clearance.

There was bad news for Facundo Roncaglia, who went off with a right ankle injury in the second half.

Correa had the best chances to draw Estudiantes level, but Matias Vecino wasted a golden opportunity when firing against the upright of an open goal.
