Stevan Jovetic has refused to rule out a return to Italy, but insists he is happy at Manchester City.
The Montenegrin forward endured a terrible first season in the Premier League, missing the majority of the campaign through injury.
But speaking the morning after he netted twice in the Citizen’s 5-1 thrashing of Milan in Pittsburgh, the striker has claimed he wants to prove his worth at the Etihad.
“I feel more confident now,” he told reporters. “My Italian friends are always sending me messages, asking if I am going to return.
“But I have decided that I want to stay here.
“I enjoyed myself in Italy, but at the moment I am happy with Manchester City.
“But we’ll see what happens.”
Inter and Juventus have both been linked with a move for the former Fiorentina man.
