Mazzarri: Attitude good

Walter Mazzarri was encouraged by Inter’s attitude shown in their penalty shoot-out defeat to Manchester United.

The Nerazzurri were undone by a missed Marco Andreolli spot-kick to lose their Washington friendly against the Red Devils 5-3 on penalties, after a goalless match.

Even so, the team’s Coach was encouraged by what he saw, commented briefly afterwards.

“For our part things went very well,” Mazzarri is quoted by Inter’s official website.

“It was a balanced game and I liked the attitude of the team.”

Nemanja Vidic also commented briefly post-match, following his appearance against his former employers.

“It’s a pleasure to see these kinds of things. They’re really good for football. It was a great event to watch.”
