Juan Cuadrado’s agent has broken his self-imposed silence to set the record straight on rumours of a move to Barcelona.
The Fiorentina winger has long been linked with a switch to Camp Nou, with outlets in Italy and Spain constantly running stories of a proposed move.
So far, the attacker’s representative has remained quiet, but has spoken this evening in order to dispel some theories.
“It’s normally my way to say nothing about my clients.” Alessandro Lucci told Tutto Mercato Web.
“But the media wave is so great that it could soon threaten to be a tsunami.
“That’s why I have felt compelled to intervene and explain how things are and what the situation is.
“With Barcelona, as with other clubs, I have been in contact for some time.
“There has been an expression of interest, but to date, there has been no offer – from Barcelona or any other club.
“The Catalan club are represented by a series of people, and our conversations have been strictly professional.
“If there were to be, in the near future, an offer, then first it would have to be analysed by Fiorentina with the gratification of all the stakeholders.”
