Marco Parolo says Lazio’s project and the chance to win things convinced him in accepting a move from Parma.
The midfielder completed a deal to join the Aquile earlier this summer and today was presented to the media.
“I hope I can repay Lazio’s faith, I will give my best in the field,” Parolo has told those at his Press conference.
“I bring here a wealth of valuable experience. We can do well and together take away great satisfaction.
“I was convinced by the project here, the desire to achieve important goals. I want to win something, some trophies, and I want to play in Europe.
“It will not be easy, there are many strong teams, but we are one of them.”
Lazio’s first home game of the season will be against Parolo’s former team Cesena, with whom he debuted in the top flight.
“During my time at Cesena Lazio were after me, but I was young, a novice in Serie A. I remember the goal I scored for Cesena against Lazio, I hope that the fans will forgive me if I score against Cesena.
“A player of my characteristics must score five or six goals during the season. My features allow me to be flexible. I can give something extra to the team.
“The competition for places in midfield is a good thing, I have always been accustomed to fighting for my place in the team.”
