Urbano Cairo has revealed that Torino have rejected several offers for Alessio Cerci.
The winger has been heavily linked with a switch away from Il Toro this summer, with Milan and Atletico Madrid thought to be at the head of the queue.
However, the club’s owner has insisted that those offers tabled were not ‘adequate’.
“I have received some offers for Cerci,” he told La Stampa. “But they were not adequate.
“If he wants to, we’d love him to renew his contract.”
Cairo then commented on Carlo Tavecchio’s racist comments at the weekend - that have seen many clubs back down from their support for his candidacy for FIGC President.
“Even I have turned away from Tavecchio. His candidacy is too controversial.”
