Ciro Immobile has insisted that Robert Lewandowski is Borussia Dortmund’s past, and he is their future.
The Italian youngster signed for the Bundesliga outfit before the World Cup from Torino, but was officially unveiled this afternoon.
And the former Toro man has claimed that he is good enough to score the goals that can take them to the top.
“Lewandowski’s legacy isn’t really on my mind,” he told a Press conference.
“Robert scored a lot of goals for this club. I don’t know if I’ll score me, but he has gone and I am here now.
“I’m delighted to have arrived at one of the best clubs in the world.
“Obviously Bayern Munich are the favourites for the League, but I know we can spring a surprise.
“I have a great relationship with Luca Toni, and he told me that the Bundesliga was perfect for me.”
