Atalanta have officially hired ex-Chievo director of sport Giovanni Sartori as their technical director.
He resigned from Chievo last month and will now co-operate with director general Pierpaolo Marino in Bergamo.
“I am happy with the proposal made to me by the Percassi family and I accepted with great enthusiasm,” said Sartori.
“I am happy to become part of the Atalanta project. I can’t wait to start work.”
The 57-year-old had been director of sport at Chievo since 1992, but resigned after 22 years at the club.
“Words are insufficient to explain how important and fundamental you were for me,” said Chievo President Luca Campedelli in July.
