Colombia international striker Victor Ibarbo assured he wants to “respect the contract” with Cagliari.
The forward caught the attention during the World Cup in Brazil and had been linked with Juventus.
“I have a contract to respect,” commented Ibarbo on his return from the post-World Cup vacation.
“I will soon meet the new Coach and President. I think it’s important that Cagliari have so many people in the stadium, as as it’s an extra weapon for the players to look into the stands and see it’s like a family cheering them on.”
It was announced this week the Stadio Sant’Elia will be expanded from 5,000 to 12,000 seats after a deal with the local council.
Cagliari will present their squad to the fans on Monday evening and hinted they will unveil three new players too.
At least two of them are already known: Manuel Almunia and Marco Capuano.
