Carlo Tavecchio said “not even John F Kennedy’s assassin had to suffer” this pressure over his racist comments.
In what is bound to be seen as yet another gaffe from the 71-year-old FIGC Presidential candidate, Tavecchio came out fighting after more Serie A clubs withdrew their support.
“Not even Kennedy’s assassin had to suffer what I’ve been through over the last few days,” Tavecchio told Rai Radio Uno.
“And to think this week is the third anniversary of my work in Africa, where I contributed to building a hospital and sponsored three children.”
