Paris Saint-Germain were thought to be in the driving seat, but have instead turned their attentions to Real Madrid’s Angel Di Maria.

As such, the flying full-back is looking for opportunities elsewhere – and Catalan daily Sport has insisted that the Nerazzurri are a genuine option.

Alves earns around €6m per season from Barca, a fee the San Siro outfit are unwilling to pay. Sport though, believe that a deal could be struck.
