Real Betis sporting director Alexis says he would love to be able to sign Joaquin from Fiorentina, but admits it will be very difficult.
The veteran Viola winger only moved to the Artemio Franchi last year and is a product of the Spanish club’s youth system.
The Verdiblancos were relegated from Spain’s top flight last season and, speaking to ABC de Sevilla, the official conceded it would be hard to lure the 33-year-old back to Andalusia.
“Joaquin has two more years of contract at Fiorentina and it’s very difficult to see him coming back to us,” Alexis said.
“The circumstances for getting him to come back to us are very remote for us. The truth is that we all want to see him back in Seville, but we need to be realistic, it really is complicated.
“In football you can never say never, but it’s very difficult.”
