Inter midfielder Ricky Alvarez insists he wants to stay at the club despite the fierce competition for first team places.

The Nerazzurri already boasted Mateo Kovacic and Hernanes as midfield options before this summer’s transfer window, and they have since brought in Yann M’Vila to further boost the squad. They are also on the verge of signing Gary Medel.

“I’m only thinking about Inter, I can’t say anything about anything else,” Alvarez, who has been linked with a move to Tottenham, told FcInterNews.

“Things that are said on the outside don’t interest me. All I can say is what I think and I want to stay here.”

The Argentine then discussed his aspirations for the upcoming season.

“I’ve just come back, I want to train well and have a great season.

“The boys have had a great training camp and played good matches in America, we are hoping for the best from this year.

“You never know, we will go forward taking it one game at a time. I’m thinking about training and preparing to the maximum.”
