It is reported that Milan may lose out in the race to sign Diego Lopez due to the Spanish goalkeeper’s wage demands.

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, the Rossoneri are willing to offer the 32-year-old wages of €2.5m a season to make the move to San Siro from Real Madrid.

However, it is said that Lopez is holding out for annual wages of €4m and, considering big spending Monaco are also interested in his services, the Diavolo may miss out.

Talks are reportedly scheduled for tomorrow between Milan CEO Adriano Galliani and the player’s agent Manuel Garcia Quilon.

Should negotiations prove unsuccessful, the Rossoneri would turn their attention to signing one of Victor Valdes, Sampdoria’s Romero or Genoa’s Mattia Perin as their new number one.
