Cagliari have officially signed Parma defender Luca Ceppitelli, but hesitate for Manuel Almunia.
The Sardinians announced their capture of the 24-year-old centreback, who spent last season on loan in Serie B with Bari, for a reported €2.5m.
However, Almunia has not yet signed the contract and returned to London, reportedly due to issues with his medical.
The 37-year-old ex-Arsenal goalkeeper is a free agent and could undergo further medical tests next week.
Cagliari also announced they have a new sponsor, signing a three-year contract with L’Acqua di San Martino mineral water.
