Milan Coach Pippo Inzaghi insists he and his staff are confident about what the Rossoneri can achieve this season.

The Diavolo had a worrying recent pre-season tour of the United States but have since bounced back with a 3-0 win over Mexican side Chivas.

“On the positive side we haven’t suffered any injuries,” Inzaghi stated when reflecting on Milan’s trip across the pond.

“They are things that can happen during a tournament when you don’t train much but you play often.

“We have also got Menez back, it is just the blow to De Sciglio that is a nuisance. My staff and I are confident, we are seeing good things in the eyes of the players.

“We need to be at 100 per cent for the first match of the season.”

Inzaghi then discussed his side’s transfer plans but insisted that his squad is already well placed to be competitive.

“The club knows very well what I want and they agree with me. But it’s right that Galliani talks about it.

“We have this squad, it is competitive. If someone else comes in then it would be better, but if not we won’t cry about it.

“Next week De Jong will come back and during the course of the season we will get Montolivo back.

“In recent days it seems even more like players like Niang, Cristante and Saponara can stay here and help us during the season.”
