They are prepared to offer €10m (£8m), but the Rosanero’s asking price is closer to €15m (£12m).

Torino have also been heavily linked with Uruguay international Hernandez, who is fresh from the World Cup campaign.

He only turned 24 last week and has been at Palermo since 2009.

Last season he scored 14 goals in 28 Serie B games.
