Puma help Conte's Italy contract?

Sponsors Puma could get involved to help Italy offer Antonio Conte a contract worth €4.9m per year.

The ex-Juventus Coach is considering the offer of taking over the Azzurri bench after Cesare Prandelli’s resignation.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the FIGC is working out a new way of sweetening the proposal without breaking the bank during a time of financial crisis in the country.

Sponsors Puma could get involved by contributing €3m per year in exchange for Conte’s image rights.

That would take the overall wages up to €4.9m per year on a two-season campaign.

FIGC President Carlo Tavecchio confirmed talks with Conte and said a new Coach would be chosen before Monday.
