Tata Martino has ‘opened the doors’ to the Argentine national team to everyone, including Juventus forward Carlos Tevez.
The 30-year-old has not played for the Albiceleste since 2011 having fallen out of favour with Alejandro Sabella, missing this summer’s World Cup as a result.
However, with Sabella’s exit after the 2014 tournament final, Tevez has had the new Coach indicate his international career may not yet be entirely over.
“All the Argentine footballers will have the doors open to them,” Martino has told reporters at his presentation as the new head Coach.
“Tevez-Sabella? The decision was purely on football. I do not think any player has had the doors closed.”
