Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho praised Italy’s choice of Antonio Conte. “He’s a top Coach.”
The former Juventus boss was appointed this week, though he will only hold his first Press conference on Tuesday.
“I have always wished the Azzurri all the best. I will do the same with Antonio,” said Mourinho.
“He’s a top Coach arriving in the job and for the players that will be very imporant.”
Cesare Prandelli resigned after Italy’s World Cup group phase exit and took over at Galatasaray last month.
Conte will sign a two-year contract until Euro 2016 with wages partially paid by sponsors Puma.
