Liverpool have tabled a €22m bid for Mario Balotelli striker, it has been revealed in the Italian Press this morning.
Rumours circulated earlier in the summer that the Premier League outfit were keen on signing the Milan striker.
Coach Brendan Rodgers went public to deny those suggestions, but Sport Mediaset have claimed today that the Anfield side have formally registered their interest by offering €22m for the goalscorer.
Pippo Inzaghi’s men are said to be unwilling to part with their Italy international, but could be open to bids over €25m.
Liverpool are in the market for a new forward having sold Luis Suarez to Barcelona, and have also been linked with Juventus target Radamel Falcao.
