Fiorentina are battling Swansea City for Montpellier talent Benjamin Stambouli and the next 24 hours could be decisive.
The versatile 24-year-old can play as a defender or midfielder and is considered hot property on the transfer market.
According to Sky Sport Italia, Swansea have offered higher wages, but the player is more impressed by the Viola project.
Stambouli’s price-tag is €5m (£4m) and his contract expires at the end of this season.
Tuttomercatoweb claim the next 24 hours will be decisive, as Fiorentina need to match Swansea’s proposal or risk losing the player.
Meanwhile, French newspapers have also linked Sampdoria to Stambouli.
