On from this, the 45-year-old this morning is at Fiorentina’s sporting centre to meet with Montella for discussions on a particular player.
“I came to talk to Montella, because we are very interested in Rossi and want to find together with him a correct schedule for the use of the player,” Conte has told reporters.
“I trust Montella, I look for him to explain what the conditions are regarding Rossi. I repeat, we are very interested in this player.”
At his unveiling as Italy boss on Tuesday morning, Conte described Rossi as an ‘asset’ to the Italian national team.
