Torino Coach Giampiero Ventura is convinced next week’s Europa League return leg with RNK Split will pan out differently.

The Granata had the better of the chances in tonight’s first meeting in Croatia but had to settle for a goalless draw.

“Today the field of play was in poor condition, but you have to give credit to Split for how they played in the match,” Ventura said after the final whistle this evening.

“In the end we committed some avoidable errors. Barreto and Larrondon acquitted themselves well.

“Quagliarella started on the bench because he is still a little short of preparation.

“In the return I think we will see a different match. We will have another week of work in our legs behind us and the pitch will be in great condition.”
