Milan Coach Pippo Inzaghi expects great things from Keisuke Honda. “I always said he was very underrated.”
The Japanese midfielder was voted Man of the Tournament in last night’s Trofeo TIM, which saw the Rossoneri beat Juventus 1-0 and Sassuolo 2-0.
“I always said Honda was very underrated,” Inzaghi told reporters.
“He just needed a solid pre-season training regime and I hope he can continue like this, because he’s a great lad and deserves all this praise.”
Honda, Stephan El Shaarawy and Jeremy Menez were on target in Reggio Emilia.
“We played two very good games and I am happy. We had no need to get depressed before and mustn’t get ahead of ourselves now, but what really counts is that I saw the right spirit and desire to play football.
“If we continue like this, then we’ll succeed in bringing our fans back to the stadium.”
