Arsene Wenger slammed the door on Juventus and Roma today by announcing “Lukas Podolski will stay with us.”
The German had been on the fringes of the side and heavily linked with a €10m move, with Juve the favourites ahead of Roma and Wolfsburg.
However, this afternoon Arsenal manager Wenger made it clear any negotiations were to be terminated and he could play in tomorrow’s Champions League play-off with Besiktas.
“Podolski is in the squad tomorrow and will stay with us,” declared Wenger.
This change of heart is because Olivier Giroud suffered a broken bone in his foot that could keep him out of action for 10 weeks.
