Sampdoria have reportedly rejected a swap offer from Parma that would involve Antonio Cassano and Gonzalo Bergessio.
Bergessio only joined the Bluerchiati this summer from Catania, but has been attracting interest from the Gialloblu.
With the Genoese side thought to be sniffing around Cassano and looking to bring him back to the Marassi, Roberto Donadoni’s men apparently made a cheeky offer to take the Argentine off their hands should they want to sign the Italy international.
However, Il Secolo XIX have claimed that Sinisa Mihajlovic’s side have swiftly rejected that proposal and will now turn their attentions away from Cassano.
The 32-year-old has made no secret of his love for Samp, having enjoyed some of the best football of his career there between 2007 and 2011.
