Goran Pandev confirmed he is joining Napoli teammate Blerim Dzemaili at Galatasaray. “I can play in the Champions League.”
The Macedonian striker has been left out by Rafa Benitez throughout the summer and this afternoon Galatasaray announced they were in advanced talks with Pandev.
“It is an honour to play for this great club where I will have the chance to play in the Champions League too,” Pandev told Sportski.mk.
That could be seen as a cruel dig at Napoli, who lost the Champions League play-off to Athletic Bilbao this week and will therefore be in the Europa League.
The Coach of Galatasaray is ex-Italy boss Cesare Prandelli.
