Conte has replaced Cesare Prandelli on the bench after La Nazionale failed to progress to the knock-out stages in Brazil.

“The principle objective is to taste victory again as that has been missing for a while,” the goalkeeper, who will start tonight, noted.

“But we, as a squad, are ready and we are all at the disposal of boss Conte.”

While the former Palermo custodian has kept his place in the squad, Paris Saint-Germain teammate Thiago Motta has been overlooked for this month’s fixtures.

“I work with Thiago on a daily basis and it is disappointing for him that he is not part of the squad right now,” the 27-year-old added.

“However, I think he is a player who will again prove his worth and he’ll be ready for selection if he gets the call.”
