Guus Hiddink rued the Bruno Martins Indi red card in Holland’s 2-0 friendly defeat to Italy.

Ciro Immobile had already opened the scoring when Martins Indi brought down Simone Zaza for a penalty just nine minutes into the game.

“I had hoped for a better return to the Dutch bench after 15 years and for a more satisfying performance,” said Hiddink in his Press conference.

“The Martins Indi red card dictated the game. The result is what it is, but at least after the two goals we were able to limit the damage.”
