“Antonio Cassano has recovered from his injury, while Paletta needs to be evaluated tomorrow morning. Biabiany is out and we hope he can be back with us as soon as possible, because he’s an important player,” said the Coach in his Press conference.
Transfer deadline day saw Biabiany pictured wearing a Milan jersey and scarf, only for the move to collapse an hour later when Cristian Zaccardo refused to join Parma in part-exchange.
“Our tempo must be different and superior to the one we showed against Cesena. Milan have considerably more quality than us, so we cannot afford to be inferior in any other terms, such as intensity and pressing.
“We have an identity that we want to push forward. If in everyone there is that spirit to help your teammates, then we can give our all against top level sides.
“Our movements still need to be refined and a few players have to settle in. I hope this can happen quickly.”
Parma had qualified for the Europa League, but their spot was handed to Torino because of financial irregularities – a late payment that the club contested.
“In my philosophy Parma’s first target is to secure Serie A status, so only then can we consider other objectives. We are not frightened by this battle.”
Donadoni had been tipped to take over the Milan bench, but it was given to top flight beginner Filippo Inzaghi instead.
“He only recently stopped playing and is taking on a new path. Clearly it is exciting and he has the best credentials for a young Coach.
“To train Milan is one of the most important objectives a professional Coach can aim for.”
