Giampiero Ventura was disappointed with Torino’s performance and admits Sampdoria “wanted it more.”

The Granata lost 2-0 at Marassi in the early kick-off, but haven’t scored a single goal in two Serie A games this season.

“The game has to be analysed overall and Padelli didn’t have a save to make,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia.

“Having said that, I think Sampdoria deserved the win, as they wanted it more and it’s only right that the team with the most hunger wins.

“At the end both teams were packed into the same half, but on every ball Sampdoria put grit and determination into it.

“I think this can be an important match for us, perhaps the most important of the season, because we can learn not to take anything for granted. We must analyse it and realise we can do so much better.”
