Rafa Benitez was pleased with the “positive reaction” from Napoli after going behind to Sparta Prague.

The Partenopei had been stunned by an early goal, but fought back to win their Europa League tie 3-1.

“I liked the positive reaction from the team. After conceding that goal, we played a good game and it was all very positive,” the Coach told Mediaset.

“We could’ve done better defending corners, but the strikers created many scoring opportunities. Sparta Prague started with a 4-4-2 and pressed us a lot, so it wasn’t easy to control the ball.”

Benitez was asked about his rapport with President Aurelio De Laurentiis.

“What did he say? After a performance like this he has to be happy. It was important to earn these three points.

“I speak to him often. We confront each other on football and it is a normal relationship. We may differ on some opinions, but we must do everything to go forward with the team and the city.”
