“I doubt Roma can complain about their injuries when compared with our list of absentees,” shrugged the Coach during his Press conference.

“They seem to me the favourites for the Scudetto and the only way to beat them is by playing great football.

“In technical terms we are a step below Roma, if not more, so if we want to get the victory it’ll be in the different interpretation of the match, the mentality and the desire to run harder.”

Cassano bagged a brace on Sunday in Parma’s first win of the season, 3-2 away to Chievo, so will he be emotionally impacted by facing his old club?

“I don’t think so, as Cassano has matured so much now that these are all issues for the media. He doesn’t mind either way,” added Donadoni.

“Antonio is important, as are all his teammates who allow him to do what he does thanks to their sacrifice and hard work.

“He has a lot of quality and a few gaps in his game, but we try to compensate for those. Can he play three games in a week? We’ll have to wait and see!”
