“It wasn’t easy, because Fiorentina are one of those teams who always punish you if you get something wrong,” Ventura told Rai Sport.

“We made two mistakes, one resolved by a Gillet save and the other turned into a goal. If we had won, then nobody could’ve complained about the result.

“We gave some consistency to our performances with four points from two rounds. If you create chances against the Viola, it means you put in a good performance.

“Some people expect too much from us, though. When we lost to Sampdoria” data-scaytid=”13″>Sampdoria some acted like it was World War III, which doesn’t help our growth. Don’t forget three years ago we were in Serie B and now we are in the Europa League.”

“We did not call him because we had to understand if it was best for him to just take some time out. Incidents weighed on him and we have to give him time to find his serenity. When he’s ready, we’ll see him between the posts again.”
