The Partenopei kick off their Europa League tie in Slovakia on Thursday at 20.05 UK time (19.05 GMT).

“If I change players, I do it because I want to win,” insisted the Coach in a Press conference.

“Those who come in have to prove their level and their quality. Every game is one to win as far as we are concerned. Only after the match with Slovan will we start thinking about Torino.

“It is always easier to win when you play well and that helps you to more victories.”

Slovan Bratislava lost their opener 5-0 to Young Boys, while Napoli fought back from a goal down to beat Sparta Prague 3-1.

“I won’t use the defeat to Young Boys as a way of judging Slovan, as this is a dangerous side, but we can do well against them.”

It is a homecoming for Napoli captain Marek Hamsik, but Benitez was also asked about his old Liverpool stalwart Martin Skrtel.

“Hamsik is very important for us. He knows that he can do better and he will, as he is a world class player.

“Skrtel and Hamsik are two professionals and hard workers as well as fantastic players.”
