The Nerazzurri are in difficulty during the October international break following a second consecutive League defeat on Sunday to Fiorentina.

“Frankly I am surprised to see Inter in this situation,” Orrico, who coached the team over 20 years ago, has told Tuttomercatoweb today.

“I have followed the work of Walter Mazzarri, he is a Coach who has always provided substance to his teams.

“He is not succeeding so far there and it surprises me.

“Yesterday I saw a team that was disconnected, with no thoughts on the style of play, with players who acted by themselves.

“Is Mazzarri at risk? These are decisions to be taken by the directors, who also have an ear in the dressing room.

“Mazzarri has always demonstrated his ability to organise a team, but the fact that a few bad results have arrived may cause the club to think.

“In my opinion, the most logical thing is to renew confidence in him. This of course is unless there are any serious rifts in the dressing room.

“It remains to be seen whether he has in his head a project and if those who believe in his project can develop.”

Today Erick Thohir did indicate his faith once more remains in place with Mazzarri.
