Roma are reportedly closing in on a contract renewal with Douglas Maicon and opening talks with Alessandro Florenzi.
The Giallorossi have been rumoured of late as intent on securing both the veteran full-back and young midfielder to new deals, and Il Tempo say both lines are progressing.
The Rome outlet reports that Maicon is close to securing a new two-year deal with the club that would net him a salary of around €2m.
If accurate, this would represent a significant pay-rise for the Brazilian, as his current annual wage is believed to be at €1.3m net.
Meanwhile, Roma are seen as ready to improve Florenzi’s current salary of €600,000 as part of negotiations with his agent that they will apparently begin in the coming weeks.
The 23-year-old Roman’s current deal expires in June 2016, whilst Maicon’s expires next summer.
