Kevin Strootman committed his future to Roma, saying he dreams of scoring a goal “in our stadium.”

The Dutch midfielder has been out of action since damaging his anterior cruciate ligament in March, but is expected to make his comeback next month.

“Of course I want to play as soon as possible, but only when I’m 100% so I can be of value to the team,” he told Nike.com.

“I don’t think about my first game, I think about my first goal in our stadium.”

Roma’s new arena has not even started construction yet, but is planned to open for the 2016-17 campaign.

“What motivates me every day? Training to come back even stronger and better.”

Strootman has been heavily linked with Manchester United, but Roma reiterated he is not for sale, even for £75m.
