The Liverpool striker has been completely ignored by Coach Conte so far in his tenure and Vialli says he knows why.
“The Azzurri forwards are young, talented, run hard, sweat, work for the team and do it all with enthusiasm,” Vialli told Tuttosport.
“I hope Balotelli watches the Italy games to understand what he has to do in order to get back into this group.
“Mind you, it makes me smile to think what faces Balotelli would pull during a game with Conte screaming at him from the touchline.”
Italy beat Azerbaijan 2-1 on Friday and their next Euro 2016 qualifier is in Malta on Monday evening.
