Fiorentina have been dealt a minor blow with the news that David Pizarro will be out for the next 10 days due to a groin injury.

Whilst not involved in the squad for yesterday’s Europa League match with PAOK, the 35-year-old pulled up in training yesterday with discomfort.

The club have now confirmed in a statement released that he will miss the Viola’s next two matches against Milan and Udinese.

“ACF Fiorentina announce that David Pizarro reported discomfort in his adductor muscle yesterday in training.

The club have now confirmed in a statement released that he will miss the Viola’s next two matches against Milan and Udinese.

“ACF Fiorentina announce that David Pizarro reported discomfort in his adductor muscle yesterday in training.

“Today, he was subjected to tests, which showed a first-degree strain to the myotendinous junction of the adductor.

“The player, who has already begun his treatment, will return in 10 days, subject to any new developments.”
