It’s the first ever Serie A edition of the Emilia Derby between Parma and Sassuolo, as Antonio Cassano faces Simone Zaza.

The early kick-off is at 11.30am UK time (10.30 GMT) at the Stadio Tardini, so click here for a match preview.

These sides have never met before in the top flight, but it is worth a lot more than just local bragging rights, as it’s also a relegation battle.

Sassuolo are bottom of the table with two points from six rounds, but have shown a marked improvement in recent weeks.

The newcomers held Napoli to a 1-1 draw at the San Paolo, then fought back from 3-1 down to hold Lazio 3-3, threatening to win at the death.

Zaza is their star striker with Under-21 international Domenico Berardi also a key figure who was sorely missed in the opening few rounds.

Eusebio Di Francesco’s men are still without the injured Carl Valeri, Luca Marrone, Emanuele Terranova and Gomes. He adjusted his usual 4-3-3 to a 3-5-2 in order to mirror the Ducali.

Parma also showed resilience last week, snatching a 2-2 draw away to Fiorentina with the last kick of the game.

Marco Marchionni and Amauri must sit this one out due to suspension, while Stefano Okaka, Gabriel Paletta and Daniele Galloppa are sidelined.

Cassano therefore leads the attack with Raffaele Palladino and Jonathan Biabiany’s pace on the right flank.
