“I had a fever and sore throat, which did not allow me to train after the victory over Roma,” wrote Hamsik on his blog.
“I hope to be able to step on to the field in Florence and help the team achieve more great results.”
The Slovak international did not take part in Napoli’s 3-0 Europa League win over Young Boys on Thursday night.
Juan Camilo Zuniga and Michu are also doubts for the Fiorentina game.
