The Daily Mail reports that although Liverpool would prefer to sign the player on a Bosman move in the summer, Brendan Rodgers could look to bring the goalkeeper to Anfield as soon as January, to provide competition for current No 1 Simon Mignolet.
Mignolet has struggled so far this term, conceding 15 goals in 11 Premier League appearances, while Neto has five clean sheets for a mean Viola defence which has the fourth-best record in Serie A.
