Genoa midfielder Andrea Bertolacci said Italy “put our heart and soul in, as Antonio Conte asked” against Albania.
He made his senior Azzurri debut in tonight’s 1-0 friendly victory at Marassi.
“It was a good game, we put our heart and soul in, as the Coach asked. They had a couple of chances that were only created thanks to our mistakes,” Bertolacci told Rai Sport.
This match had a completely different squad to the Italy team that drew 1-1 with Croatia on Sunday.
“We all know Croatia are a great side, but I saw my teammates trying to win, even if it wasn’t the best performance.”
