“We need even more belief to make that step up in quality and this can be the right occasion to change our ways.
“However, we must have the utmost respect for Cesena, as they’ve only lost at home to Inter. It might seem like an easy round in our push for third place with Sampdoria, but if we lose then we could slip to sixth or seventh.
“The papers claim Pierpaolo Bisoli is fighting to save his job at Cesena. I hope that we win, but that he is not fired.
“We always try to win and start as favourites because of what we’ve done so far this season, but Cesena are not to be underestimated. We cannot think we are so strong that we can win without effort.”
There are other issues in Cesena, as they will be playing on an artificial pitch.
“It will be strange, but at least we won’t have the excuse of strange bounces. Nobody must use the pitch as an alibi. I doubt Federer or Djokovic complain when they play on clay instead of grass. Well, maybe Nadal would. A champion is a champion everywhere and must learn to adapt.”
Mihajlovic had been linked with the Inter bench next season, but he’s happy that his old friend Roberto Mancini got the job instead.
“Mancini is one more reason for me to cheer on Inter!”
