“I am perfectly relaxed. After all, I’m used to this situation,” said Bisoli when asked if his job was at stake.

“Criticism is normal in the football world and I’ve received a lot of it in the last two and a half years. It’s not a problem.

“We trained behind closed doors for a few days to keep the team calm and separate from what was going on outside.

“The truth is we are exactly where we expected to be at this stage of the season. Unfortunately, we were a little unlucky over the last few rounds.

“We are growing and proceed along our path in a relaxed state of mind. Only those who played football know how much tension can cause problems, but we are working on the psychological aspect too.

“It will be very important to bring home a positive result, even if it’s a tough test against a Sampdoria side that are in great shape.”

Guido Marilungo, Alejandro Rodriguez, Francesco Renzetti and Andrea Tabanelli are out of action.

Cesena squad for Sampdoria: Leali, Nica, Mazzotta, Valzania, Giorgi, Lucchini, Carbonero, De Feudis, Coppola, Brienza, Volta, Krajnc, Magnusson, Djuric, Succi, Perico, Capelli, Almeida, Agliardi, Cascione, Garritano, Ze Eduardo, Bressan, Defrel
