Fiorentina owner Diego Della Valle has launched a stinging attack on Cesare Prandelli, saying the Galatasaray Coach is driven by money.

Prandelli has endured a tough start to life in Turkey since taking over the Gala job in the summer, following Italy’s poor showing at this year’s World Cup. Gala lie third in the Turkish Super Lig following a 3-0 home defeat to Trabzonspor on Saturday.

In addition, the Istanbul giants are bottom of their Champions League group, collecting just one point from four matches and conceding 13 goals in the process.

The Coach was previously employed by Della Valle’s Fiorentina, and the owner told Turkish media not to expect Prandelli’s resignation, as he is motivated by money.

“I have no time to be thinking about Galatasaray,” Fotomac reports Della Valle as saying.

“They’ll certainly be waiting a long time for Prandelli to resign.

“Until he’s received the last penny of his salary, he will not leave.”

This is not the first time Della Valle has criticised his former tactician, with the leather tycoon blasting the Coach for “running away” from Italy in July.
