Sampdoria could leap-frog their city rivals into third place if they beat Napoli on Monday evening.
“In the worst case scenario we’ll be fourth and I’d say that is a good position to be in,” continued Gasperini.
“Hopefully in the second half of the season we will be able to pick up more points on home turf.”
