With the expected arrival of Manolo Gabbiadini from Sampdoria in January, the Slovakia international could be deemed surplus to requirements according to Calciomercato.

The website reports that not only will Gabbiadini join, the sale of Hamsik could also help the club fund a move for Goran Pandev.

The Macedonian striker is at Galatasaray, but has struggled to settle in Turkey after leaving Napoli in the summer to move to Istanbul.

With the 31-year-old’s contract expiring in the summer, Pandev wouldn’t command a large fee, and is believed to be keen on a return to Naples.
